1/48 Lynx mk.23

Here are some pics of my 1/48 Comando de Aviacion Naval Argentina Lynx Mk.23 completed a couple of months ago. This is Airfix’s HMA.8 with RotorCraft’s HAS.2/3 conversion applied. The conversion includes a new nose, rotor tips, decking over the rear of the engines and tailplane / gear box housing and tail rotor. With a few minor changes to the antennae this is about as close as I can get to one of the two Lynxes Argentina operated over the Falkland Islands during the 1982 conflict. References and information are few and far between, so there are a few assumptions in the cabin, which is fitted with the Eduard interior set.

I had to make some, admittedly quite poor, intake covers as the Airifix representation of the mesh covers is very poor. (To be fair, it’s hard to see how else they could have designed them.)
